Japhy Grant

Hi there. My name is Japhy Grant and I’m a writer, editor and producer living in Los Angeles.

I create 360 web and video solutions (read: web video, pilots, treatments, websites, social networking campaigns) for clients like BCBG / Max Azria and Vuguru through my company JStrike Studios.  I also direct music videos for bands like Grizzly Bear and mae and write original scripts and treatments (read: learning to be a TV writer).

I work as a journalist and columnist and my writing has appeared in Salon, OUT, The Advocate, The New York Observer and most recently True/Slant.  Cultural critic Cintra Wilson has called me a “sherm-smoking himbo”  and political blog BigHead D.C. has called me a “journalist wunderkind” and my Mom thinks I’m cool, so there’s that.
